nice couch! do you have any images of the living room where you plan to put the couch? dimensions of the room? what color is the flooring in the room? do you have a focal point such a fireplace in the room? do you window treatments? will you have an area rug? what other colors do you have in your home? does living room open into other rooms? if so, do they have painted walls.

I would think about the wall color last after you decided on furnshings.

I would think about three colors to incorporate together with two of them being in contrast to each other.

Teal is a very today colors as well as turquoise. Blues are an excellent match with greys. In going with colors such as teal, turquoise or purple, sometimes is best ot just use as accent colors instead of major pieces of furniture. (easier and cheaper to replace if you get tired of it) That said I think purple, teal or turquoise chairs would be fab.

If they sofa will face the TV wall, then 2 accent chairs on each side for a start. And think about a sofa table behind the new sofa.

These come in teal and purple. Checking for style also would this be something you would consider or a different style?

I would decide on the main pieces (per avery) before jumping into lamps, rugs and tables.

Is the furniture in the pictures yours?

The color combination in first picture is quite attractive - blue/browns and cream - subtle and soft to compliment your couch's color, with a soft and bit deeper greish/blue paint color. It's really hard to suggest, as it's really your style preferences. But to help, I would go with a slightly industrial coffee table that had black iron to compliment the darker furniture you are considering and would use non matching side tables. The floor lamp in the picture is nice and a rug idea is below. I would go with ivory low back chairs in a rough linen fabric and pull everything together with pillows.

i forgot to add we are purchasing everything from scratch that is all the previous owners stuff we move in next week !!! We have no furniture :( but I'm glad we got the main pieces out of the way like sofa buffet dining set that's what we plan on buying

Love what you have chosen! My suggestion is to do a floorplan to scale before you buy anything more to see what you have room for. Make some little rectangles to represent chairs etc to see how big things should be. Is the carpet staying? Do you have a painting or a piece of fabric that you love that shows colors that would look good with your new chesterfield sofa? Are you getting the chairs that are showing with the dining table or are you getting different ones? I would suggest upholstered ones - they will soften the hard edges if the wood - you could get them in gray to match the Sofa or teal or whatever your accent color will be.

If you have that sofa, the dining buffet, table & chairs. Decide on your colors. You do not need a rug, You have carpet. Choose a piece of art together & use it as inspiration for colors of accents in the room. Check Art.com or Great Big Canvas for ideas. They often have 50% sales. Do not pick that rug that Maureen posted. It looks like a pattern gone wrong.

I love the sofa you asked about. Keep the tufting to a minimum for other items, though.

I love it. It's classical to timeless can would go with almost any other color.

Hi again, I like your idea of purple as a potential accent color. Maybe purple & yellow? Or maybe the fancier terms of aubergine and mustard? Goes well IMO with the taupe leather.

I hope these ideas offer some inspiration for you. Please know that although I have posted some suggestions for furniture pieces, etc., it's primarily meant to stir up ideas. And, it's still really important for you to put together a functional layout for your space (as some of us suggested earlier) and find an inspiration for color, style, etc.

I peeked at your ideabook earlier to get a sense of your style. My suggestions so far have been based on how I've interpreted your style through the couple of your ideabook pics I saw.....as well as the style of furniture you posted above. So, hopefully the suggestions haven't been way off.... :-)

Anyway, here's a few more ideas for coffee tables below. These are from RH and some come in various sizes. (You'll definitely need the smaller size of the 1st one below).

Just keep in mind that the table size should be based on certain dimensions of your sofa. If I'm remembering correctly, I think the table length should be somewhere between 1/2-2/3 the length of the sofa and the height should be about the same height (or within about 2-3 inches lower) as the sofa's seat height.

Found a couple of pictures for inspiration for you. Personally I think the matching chairs look great! And the chartreuse is a fabulous accent color. To me it takes the look from ordinary to wow.

Are they in the same room? You can mix wood types in a room, makes it more interesting.

I'm not fond of grey and so tired of everyone suggesting it for everything BUT...I really do like your little sofa. It has a lot of personality with the tufting and sheen so I'm actually a bit envious! That said, for accents my preference would probably be yellow as it's a perfect foil for the grey, or coral, mostly because it's my favorite outside of white!

Be careful with the teal. Some tones will make the grey look muddy. Purple would depend on the shade and if you can talk your hubs into it! You could try a periwinkle, which is a purpley-blue.

I would keep the wall color the same. BTW, I just noticed that your dining chandelier is not over the table. Have someone move the electrical box so it hangs over table. Not a major deal. A little spackle and touch up paint.

we plan on replacing the chandelier. that is the previous owner's items ! we are literally starting from scratch !
