What is this weed, and how to I eradicate it?

Perhaps it was to due to the relatively mild winter we had here in West Tennessee, but this weed has taken over my back yard...raised beds...everywhere!...How do I get rid of this considering I have 3 dogs who "own this yard, outside of my raised beds?...I am loathe to use poisons, but this has totally taken over...

Ground ivy, Glechoma hederacea. It's in the mint family so that should give some insight as to how well it can spread :-) It's not at all that hard to pull up, especially when the soil is moist, but be sure to remove all portions of the root system as best you can otherwise it will regrow.
