We are building a new home and the finish work is about to begin. The great room will feature a stone veneer fireplace on a bumped out wall, floor to vaulted ceiling stone. Our builder and stone supplier both think it would look fine to just put the stone on the front face and not wrap it around the corners and onto the bumped out side walls. I'm afraid this may accentuate the fact that the stone is veneer. On the other hand, I'm not sure I want a stone 'cliff' sticking out in the room. I would love some opinions on this and also any helpful photos. Thanks in advance.
