Congrats on your upcoming marriage. I can remember my early married life and just how much I wanted to have my home all pulled together at once. A bit of advice...take your time. Gone are the days when we should go out and buy all matching furniture. True professionals would tell you that your home should evolve over time. My advice is to invest in a good sofa in a neutral color (gray maybe) and then use the mint and pink as accent colors in pillows. That way you can change things up with the seasons or as something else strikes your fancy. Also invest in other seating (a chair, a small ottoman that can also serve as seating).

Your drapes also look like they can use an update. New drapes, sofa and chair with some pillows tossed in the mix will go a long way in changing up your space. Also so colorful art work or mirrors and the wall would also and brightness to your home.
