It is a beautiful room. What else is going in there besides the chaise sofa? Cute suitcases. Are you coming or going?

I'm lazy and left the suitcases out. Sorry. I haven't bought any else for this room. So I'm open to ideas. Love seat on the far right under half wall with two chairs in main window? I have no imagination for seeing how rooms are furnished.

2 chairs & round table at round window area.

Is there going to be a TV in the room, if so how big and is there restriction on which wall it is connected?

    No tv

Just a room to relax and chat or have a drink in.

OK, so you come into the room up a few steps, the sofa is on the left wall? opposite sofa is bay window and on right is half wall with furry person? How big is the bay window area. COuld you give me dimensions? That would help. Thanks.

Pull the sofa out from the wall a bit. An area rug to cozy things up. Like happyleg said, a small round table and two nice chairs at the bay window. No loveseat please. Where the suitcases are, how about a credenza, console or interesting piece to have your wine bar?

Build a window seat and make the rest of the seating be one chaise, some club chairs, and the rest floor cushions or little Moroccan ottomans. Have a very low, rather large coffee table in the middle, but allow room to get around it. Hookah optional. ;) Use lots of velvet and fur for upholstery, and your formerly awkward room will become a favorite hangout.

tedo2, I have done a guess the best I can floor plan, That odd thing is the bay window and the stairs coming into the room. I do not have dimensions, but guessed by relationship to the chaise sofa. You will not be able to fit the 2 chairs and a table in the nook I think it is too small, so you would have to bring them out more. Moving the sofa too far into the room might create a problem with the entrance. I put in 2 chairs closer to the sofa for better conversation and put a chair and small table in the bay window nook for 1 person. Or you could put a nice bench there. You need to measure the room before you buy any more furniture to make sure it will fit. Do not buy a love seat. I included a credenza to put against the half wall. Again no dimensions.

If you can pull the sofa out into the room more without a problem with getting past it to enter, then a sofa table behind it with a lamp would be nice. I would look at a floor lamp for the left hand corner.

Please don't jump all over this in panic. It is just a guess on how the furniture might be arranged. There is little I can do with the sofa as it is right chaise and don't think it will fit on short half wall. If you need assistance with chairs tables or rugs. Just post. If you want to send dimensions, I can do a better job.

I think you should move the sofa opposite the staircase and center it between the two windows. Get a console for the wall where the couch is now. you can also get a coffee table to put in front of the sofa. Don't block the round window with any furniture, it is too low to put any chairs there and will block the natural light. I would put a nice plant there to being the outside in.

Looks good. I'll run this by my wife. I think using the room in a more open way would be something she is leaning towards

I can add or delete, or move.

How long is that 1/2 wall to the right of stairs?

I wouldn't put all that furniture in your living room

I tried to get all dimensions off your drawing. I may be off an inch or two. I have a tremor so little shaky. I can move as needed. The credenza by 1/2 wall is 48" Not sure if sofa will fit anywhere else as is rt chaise. I can give you chair and table sizes if you need them. I think I finally got this right. New app so trying my best as its so new. Don't know if you want a rug or not can easily add one.
