split personality, need rug for entryway which weds adjoining rooms
I've created a problem and I need help! I've been slowly docorating over a number of years, and my choices clearly show my different moods. I have two rooms in view of each other, with my entryway in between. When entering my entry, my living room is to the right and my dining room is to the left. My living room has reds, and creams, and is in the traditional / eclectic style. My dining room has gray, taupe and kind of a grean / blue, and is more transitional (i think). I would like to add a rug at my entry door, but I think it needs to wed or at least compliment the two adjoining rooms. Is this possible? I really can't afford to change the furniture or rugs in the dining or living rooms, but I am open to any and all suggestions. Photos appear below.

Here's a close up of the dining room rug, chairs and curtains. If it is a lost cause to unite this space, I would consider replacing the dining room rug and curtains. My dining room chairs are grey, which is the reason for this problem to begin with. It would be very difficult for me to replace the chairs.
