You need an external drainage specialist to come in and deal with your situation. The longer you wait the more damage that will be done = reduced claim paid by insurance company. Please call a local drainage company (or 2) and have them come out to offer remedies.

You are right. The longer this water sits beside your foundation, the more damage you can expect.

The top picture shows a brown rain water gutter pipe. Does this connect to a storm drain line? Typically they are 4" in diameter and white in colour. Or does the rain water from your roof dump out there?

The gutter drains the water from the roof. It just empties out into the ground.

I was always told when buying real estate, you don't want to be down hill for this very reason. You need a professional to remedy this problem pronto!

can you dig a trench that allow it to flow to the front yard. also add some dirt to the back so that the water is away from the house. rent a trench digger from home depot

In dry weather dig a waist trench along the wall.

Use waterproofing on exterior wall. (Ask advice at hardware store.)

Once dry, fill half of the trench with gravel.

Return soil on top of gravel.

Along the full house, add additional soil so that your grade is higher at the house and naturally draining water away from the house.

If you need to remove shrubs or tree roots, do so. You need to protect the foundation.

As soon as you read this: (1) Buy an extension for the drain spout. It needs to be long enough to carry and empty the water away from the house and drain it downhill. (2) If there is pooled water along the foundation, use your shop vac or purchase a small pump and hosing to drain it.

Fix this problem immediately.
