I have a small veggie garden that I typically hand water. That being said, when I'm away for a week I currently set up a soaker hose with a programmable timer to give the garden a little water every few days My thoughts are a little extra is okay, as it's a raised bed and drains well.

Now I'm considering going away for a bit longer of a vacation. Does anyone know of a temporary system I can set up with either a rain gauge or wi fi? With wi if control I could check if it rained recently and water accordingly, or with a rain gauge, well, that would be a no brainer. I am aware that I can do some permanent stuff with my rainbird irrigation I have for the lawn, but I'm just looking for something quick and easy to prevent overwatering if I take this vacation. Thanks!
