If you're renting, painting the walls is probably not an option, so I would introduce my towels, rugs and accessories in a combination of the teal and maybe a soft gray.

Embrace the teal blue and it won't be the pink elephant, it will look intentional. As Lukki said, decorate in the blue and another color with towels, tissue holder, wastebasket, rugs, artwork, etc.. Yellow might be nice as the second color as well.

I would say that having a vintage teal blue colored tub can actually be the WOW factor in a bathroom - definitely play up to that teal by incorporating it into the decorating scheme.

Teal with grey and/or white can be very soothing, spa like. Teal also plays nicely with browns/cream or various shades of green.

Maybe this will give you some color inspiration...use it elsewhere in the bath to make it look intentional.

Actually my favorite color combination is apple or celery green and teal; it's what I used in our office. It's a fun and energetic combination.
