From the photo I'm trying to determine (could just be my monitor) if the garage door is the same color as the house or some other version of gray?

I'll assume that it is the same color as the house for the sake of my suggestion......I would go with either Burnt russet (Benjamin Moore) or Courtyard Green (Benjamin Moore). The russet is a grayed down brick type red that will give a lot of pop without being garish. The green could be really beautiful if you added a little more color to the landscaping.

Merlot/plum or teal.

I like the front door. I think the garage door is the "problem" & should be painted white like the trim:

smoky teal for garage and front door. lighter than front door but darker than garage. with grey and white you could use lots of brighter colors.

Thanks for the ideas. We won't be painting the garage door as we don't mind the color (it is a different color then the trim, it's a mid grey)

I was leaning towards a green or plum/wine color, possibly aqua.
Any specific color codes? (I do like the BM courtyard green btw!)

We will be doing the front steps, a walkway and some landscaping in the front this summer, we just moved in and have been getting ideas started.

Discussed the possibility of painting the garage door and he's all for it, so any more suggestions for both the garage and the front doors would be appreciated, I really don't like the black front door!

I like the darker door since you have a lot of white trim. Very nice entrance and facade. Think about a shade of blue. Not light. Grab some paint cards. Tape them to the door and look and think. I can't vision pastel or reds or heaven forbid yellow. I think the perfect blue would be stunning but not on the garage door. I would just do the door for now. The garage door does not necessarily need to be changed. The style and appearance of the house is lovely.

After looking at the house again I feel you could pass on painting the garage door. With the amount of white trim that you have and a great blue door you want the eye to rest and enjoy the positives. You don't want to get too busy with colors. The color you choose will speak to the house's design and aesthetic. Go get those paint cards in blue and have fun. Don't rush. Any decisions I make, I take the time to think it through and get it right..

Paint the garage door white, then you can paint the door any brilliant teal, Aqua, or purple. Otherwise you will need to stay in the family of the color of the garage door, unless you buy some rocking chairs that are similar to the grey of the garage, then do a pop of color for the door. Paint the door a color that you love.

I think a white garage door would give more balance and allow lots of options for the front door. Love the house...really nice gray. Slate blue might be an option for the door.
