Window treatment advice

I just had the wall taking down between kitchen and dining room. The paint is Benjamin Moore seersucker suit (Grey/blue) in both lichen and dining room. The island will be a grey color. I'm looking for advice for window treatments, the two kitchen windows have shutters, not sure what to do in the dining room now. Thanks!

If you don't need a window treatment for privacy don't bother adding one. click photo 1.
If you need the privacy: a simple Roman shade in the color of the trim (white). click photo 2.
The DR chandelier is hung too high.
The room seems a little dark: maybe a few white or cream dishes on the wall?

11 years agoI'd pick the color of the room's trim for linen drapes, as long as it doesn't fight rug. I have faux linen drapes in my house and they can get tossed in washer, don't fade in sun, and are more affordable ( from Country Curtains). Maybe on metal rods and rings to complement your furniture.
