You need to get a better console for the TV. One that houses all the "stuff" and get it out of sight.

Try posting some new photos in broad daylight with all the lights on. One photo of each wall would be good.

How many people watch tv at one time?

Agree with apple, you have a lot of furniture in the room. Do you need all of it?

We tryed putting the couch in front of the window, and the tv on the big wall, but we get a bad glare, from the window, I appreciate all you helpful comments, I would like to lighten up the paint color, the carpet is new. we need lots of seating as big family when everyone is home, maybe i could focus on new chair ideas, any suggestions for coffee table, we use the current ottoman as a coffee table, its great for putting up your feet, would like a ottoman that has a pattern on it to give some interest to the room, just can't find one yet. any suggestions?

I appreciate the feed back on seating. Although not all chairs are best for TV viewing that will not be possible in this room. I would still suggest that you replace the TV console for something that will house all the junk that comes with setting up a TV. That said, Move that ottoman back to the chair it belongs to and get something that will compliment the room If you want to replace some chairs go for more sleek designs and not bulky. You can get comfortable chairs now that don't look like a Volkswagen. I cannot see that the paint is too dark unless you want to go really light. Your furniture is too dark.
