Does anyone have clear advice on pruning cantaloupes?

The main problem that we have is that we have a long space (30') that is only 6 feet wide.

The cantaloupe plants are planted every 4 feet or so.

One on side is grass (which gets mowed), and on the other is a row of blackberries.

So, how do I control the vines?

Do I let the lateral vines grow as long as they want (wrapping them so they stay in the cleared area), and just limit them to three or four melons each?
