hi, i am installing natural gas piping for kitchen range and also making an extension for bbq grill at the deck. as i havent got time to do research on bbq grill yet, can someone pls tell me what diameter gas line branch-off i should be having for easy connection to a bbq grill ? is it 1/2" or 3/4" ? i seem to get conflicting information

what's the connection at the grill itself?

if i pick 3/4", is it easy to get reducer / adapter to whatever diameter the connection is for bbq grill?

my understanding with gas line is that you can step down (in diameter size) but you can never step up. so i want to make sure i install the right diameter for all options to avoid problems down the road.
