Neither picture shows a papaya, but don't know what they are. Papaya is super easy from fresh seed but need some bottom heat if you are germinating under cool conditions (i.e., room temperature or lower). I just throw the seeds into outdoor planters outside in the warmer months, forget about them and they sprout like crazy.

the leaf structure is very similar

but, there are tiny hairs on it, and the bottom photo shows it branching.

papaya do not branch.

they only have leaves straight from the trunk.

not sure what it is, maybe castor bean ? that shows up here as a weed, and the leaf is similar. just a guess though.... maybe okra ?

looks kinda like a vine.

It's a plant from the Malvaceae family, such as Hibiscus, Abelmoschus, Gossypium, etc. You'll need to wait til the bud opens, the flower should get you a closer ID. (Okra is in that family.)

I think it's sort of like raspberry/blackberry looking....but definitely not a papaya....

This is Okra, or Ladies Fingers or Gumbo plant.

I did have some okra seeds. I sowed many. Looks like only two sprouted. Thank you all for your responses.
