I'm thinking of redoing the paint. I was going for more light tan- cream, but it looks yellow to me. The floor is original...has a weird pink-peach tone that I wanted to avoid on walls. Any suggestions?

I would keep the walls white and perhaps introuduce traditional muted pink towels and shower curtain.

I would paint the window white and use a pretty fabric roman shade.

If the window has been w/o paint for as long as the bath has had tile, I would put in two tiny tension rods (top of glass & at top of sill) & hang a shirred white & black small printed cotton fabric. It will show off the fine features of this lovely bath. Add this shower curtain.

Hi Grapefruit, The window is new and so is the stain. All our windows have been newly stained...we can't paint over them.

Have you considered painting the window and trim work and putting up a composite plantation shutter. We put a ton of the Hunter Douglas Newstyle Composite Shutters in bathroom spaces just like this because they can withstand the moisture.

I like the idea of painting the trim and using plantation shutters. I have had them in BOTH my bathrooms ( with showers) for years and NO warping yet. Mine are plain wood painted with white semi gloss paint. Think hard about painting the trim black- that is a large area of black in a small room.

I like the shutters, but I won't paint the new windows white. what about matching shutters to the oak trim?
