Overheated Violet. Help! :(

I'm so sad... My violet was doing great and even started to grow little flower buds. But I had to move my violet off the windowsill to clean and forgot to move it back right away. It sat in direct, hot sun for maybe an hour at most but now the leaves are flimsy and have lost all their crispness. Color wise, they're still fine, but I'm concerned about their lack of stiffness. I gave the violet a little sprinkle of cool water (not cold, just slightly cooler than room temp), and some of the leaves seem to be perking up but I'm worried I've hurt it.

Is there anything else I can do to help it recover? Or will it be ok if I just let it rest in its normal environment? The pot is hot to the touch, should I try to cool that down or just let it go on its own?

EDIT: The leaves are getting their stiffness back but they're laying really flat against each other... I guess I'll just let it hang out where it is. It seems to be recovering so hopefully this is a good place for it.

Sorry but I can't see your photo at all - when I click your link I just get a blank white page -? Anyway, from your description, you've done what you can. You've moved the plant away from the hot sunny spot and you have lightly watered it. Yes, it is stressed right now, but if it is going to recover it will do so on its own. There may be leaves that obviously wilt away and need removing but for now just let it be and see what happens. As long as the crown (center) is undamaged, your plant will recover.

Does it look ok? It looks better from one side than it does from the other... I'm extra worried because I trimmed a couple damaged/old leaves off the bottom yesterday and I'm afraid the plant is too stressed now :(

Hm, weird. The link works fine for me. I never really know how imgur works :P

I put the violet back on it's normal, low-light window and the leaves on one side are a little dark but coming back. The other half... eh. the biggest leaf has a big soft brown spot on it so I'm thinking in a few days that might need to come off. I'll just do what you said and let it do its thing. The crown doesn't seem damaged at all.

I was just freaking out because it looked so great and full a few days ago and now it's kinda sparce and sickly looking. Gonna go downstairs and check on it now; if something major as changed I'll update but I think you're right, it's gonna be ok and it just needs time. Luckily its supposed to be cloudy/rainy today.

I think your violet looks good too, but you could put it in a dark closet for one day and let it get some rest, then bring it out the next day and put it back in its normal spot on the windowsill. Make sure the soil is damp and slightly wet. The stems should regain rigidity soon.

Just had to come back and say that I clicked on your link again this morning and this time the site loaded for me. (Must have been my computer - it's beginning to do funny things now and then.) I think you have a nice little plant and it looks very good. Other than this one mistake, it is obvious you are taking good care of it. :-)
