I like the picture window (PW).

My favorite look is 2 small chairs and a table and lamp in front of the window.

once you go lower you are going to be paying for safety glass anyway, so might as well put french doors in. even if you never open and close them they'll be lovely. you could do fixed panes either side, and a single swing door in the middle.

Since you already have a door going to the patio, you have a stove in the corner, I would keep the window as is, unless you want to just change it to a dual pane energy efficient opening window.

Unless you have a big budget, I'd just make the window larger by lowering the window sill. Then, install a French style, all glass patio door instead of the patio door that looks like a front door. Since you have the FP in the corner and the door on the left, you'll need remove the door and reframe and sheetrock the interior and patch the exterior, center the new French door, relocate electrical and your heat/air vent. Big bucks involved in making that change.

two doors side by side seems silly to me unless you are removing the front door i would stick with a window.

i remember we were having a window such as this converted to french doors, and the contractor said "oh i'll have to move that outlet thats under the window" and i'm thinking, yup, you will.
