Kitchen backsplash help please!

I could use some help picking out the colour for my tile backsplash. The cabinets are white with black hardware, the appliances are stainless and black and the floor is charcoal grey. The main floor is pretty open and is painted a light blue colour. The rest of the main floor is light colours (wall, trim, banister, desk)with a few darker pieces (couch, dining table, TV).

I really like the darker colour, except it seems dark to me. I'm worried that it's going to stand out to me a lot. I like the shade of the lighter colour, but that one seems to blend in to the counter a lot. I like the white (would be done with grey grout), but my husband doesn't want white cabinets and white tile.

I like the darker gray, also. Is everything installed? can you post a picture of the entire room?

I like the dark grey also. It would be nice in herringbone.

I really like the light grey. I think you will want it to blend somewhat with the counter. As far as white subway, especially if using a light grey grout, you really can't go wrong. Bring up some photos of kitchens done each way for your hubby to see. (After all who's kitchen is it)?

If the cabinets are pure white, not cream, I'd go with the darker gray.

Renov8or is probably right. Darker gray tile, (painted floor)dyed blue grout, & maybe a line of mini black tile in the design if you can get the tile guy to suggest a suitable pattern, & that depends on the length of your run in the counters of course....but don't let that add alot of dollars to your expense. One lady I know had a local Art Teacher paint a special simple design on a dozen of the tiles and they were installed by the tile man in a pattern that they had worked on before he began his work... Working with that gray tile, you might know an Art teacher that could do that for you in your blue color even on the gray tile? But your kitchen is sure to be pretty, it is alot of decisions you have already made!
