Is this too much for the entryway ?

Here's what I have in my entryway. Is this too much ? Should I go for sconces that don't have mirrors ? I did paint the mirror silver.

Any other changes you would recommend.

HI -- Very nice ... just off set the sculpture a little to one side and not in the center .

Agree with Karen, chest and mirror are great. Take down sconces and put sculpture else where

As said above, take down your sconces, they overwhelm the area.

Love your chest and mirror. Great job there!

Too much going on I didn't even see the sculpture. Keep either the mirror or sconces preferably the mirror.

HI -- I like the sconces , they add that touch of glamor and goes with all the rest . The front of the side walls is wide and it needs something of that size . They don't overwhelm to me . I think this whole arrangement is very elegant looking . It is all very Elle Décor ! She did a great job here !

I would try a teeny fix by simply adding some life...perhaps a small jade plant, and move the sculpture off-center.

Can you show a picture of the mirror with the new silver paint? Right now, the beautiful chest-- which has a wonderful intricate look--just doesn't seem like it works with the petal mirror. The mirror grabs too much attention from the chest. Maybe silver paint is what it needs but I think you can do better.

    Lose the sconces.

Add a live plant on the chest. The lavender would be a nice touch in the right container.

Just saw where the brilliant mrsstem said the same thing about the plants.

Everything you are using has lots of tiny patterns--the chest, the sconces, the petals of the mirror. It's all too much and it detracts from what should really shine here and that is the chest.

I think the chest and mirror look great! The sconces are a little overkill. I don't think you need them.

Leelee, you are sweet! It's just to me, all the strong lines and metal needed the balance of a live element. A small cut flower arrangement in a glass or wood bowl would do it too, but would be more work to maintain.

The chest and mirror are very unique and the wall color behind it looks great. I don't think you need anything else.

I painted the mirror yesterday to have the same color as the wood from the chest, but i think i made it worse. I could paint it back to the way it was before. I moved the giraffe off center. I will go shop for some plant to try out on the chest. The side walls look like they need something.

Do you think these sconces would work better ?

I really like the sconces in the above post. They are simple and will not compete with the chest and mirror. I think the painted mirror look fine-doesn't really look much different.

The more I am looking at your picture, the more I think you should find a mirror that is simpler as suggested by leelee. Your chest is so beautiful and the mirror seems to compete with it. Love this one that was posted above. The clean lines and height really compliment the chest.

Really like your existing mirror but think it would work better on a wall where it could stand alone.

I like the painted mirror. I would lose the giraffe and add a couple of simple white boxes where the giraffe is now and a small dish for keys. The new sconces would look great.

Not too much i loved it but what if you put the statue in the right side not in the middle and maybe A bowl of seashells
Or instead of the bowl you can but orchid white flower

Hard to tell, but is the mirror at eye level? Looks a little low to me, but it may just be the photo....

Are there candles in the sconces? A simple vertical mirror with a narrow frame hung at standing height. Also place the giraffe in another room. Add a loose natural plant instead of a formal orchid. Too many like items take away from each item's uniqueness. Add a black tray to place on the top for keys. I like the lavender type plant best.

I would paint only the back wall a darker color..it looks too much like a cave now. Get rid of those sconces, get rid of the thing on the wall..hang a soft piece of artwork and a low shallow bowl on the furniture...keep it simple..you have too many things trying to make a statement at the same time.
