because it is over stuffed with plant.. and the media is probably not working properly for all the roots clogging it..

and your water bulb is probably failing ...

if its getting too dry .. move it to less sun ...

i am thinking that water ball is totally insufficient ...

if it were mine ... i would get a large bucket ... fill with water .... and put the whole pot into it ...

i would bet my shiny nickle.. it will float.. because its so dry inside ...

after a few hours.. the pot will sink.. and then you will know the media is thoroughly wetted ...

try not to let it dry like that again ... and that might be very hard to do ... so then soak it as often as necessary ...

if you got it from a real nursery.. it might be worthwhile talking to the seller ...

for smaller pots.. i use an old dishwashing pan ... which is nice because the pot will quickly settle to the bottom ....

this one looks like it might fit in into a 5 gal bucket ... but those are so tall ... we dont want it sinking to the bottom.. so, before you fill with water.. you might find some other pot to put in it ... so this pot wont sink below the top edge ...
