The tile work looks to be in great shape. I would look for a vintage looking wallpaper with a white background and colors that match or near match the pink and or maroon tile.

I have the same situation except my BR is yellow. You also have burgundy to deal with. The wall and floor tiles look to be in good shape. Would you be able to change out the sink to a white one. That would get the focus off some of the burgundy. Good luck.

print curtain and some art will give you something else to look at as you walk in. and i'm betting your light fixture could use more wow, too....you are not going to overcome the pink, or the burgundy. but its a lot of work to tear it out, so distraction is the name of the game.

Use this as an inspiration. I love the pink sink. Don't paint it.

I had this bathroom in an office and I went with silver, white and black and it turn out wonderful. It was based on an Emily Post room at her Washington DC house. Honestly if done correctly you won't notice the pink, but remember to paint the ceiling.

I love the old tile, even though it's pink. Guess I'll have to recuse myself from this discussion because I woulda put new guts in the (presumably pinkish) old toilet and let it be.

I suggest you replace the sink with a white one in a vintage farmhouse style. I would paint the burgundy tiles the light pink from the floor tile. ( Go to good paint store and ask them how to paint the tile, since it's not high use, it should not be a problem if done properly with correct primer etc.) . Paint the walls with wide stripes 8" light grey and 4 " white stripes. All painting in semi gloss for a bathroom. Add small pinstripe of the light pink, or a stencil of beading run vertically like a stripe in the light pink. All towels white w light grey monogram. New mirror, antique and pretty with some scrolls/curves in frame design. Mirror can be antiqued gold or silver finish , or white or light grey paint. Vintage linens would also be a nice addition.

aha! you musta stole my fl home. But this gets even better, the pink was with a strange taupey colored trim, floor was identical. Luckily all fixtures were white. But I would have gladly given you my ensuite, it was magenta, like yours with turquoise tile imagine matching that! Ok, I found florals in wall paper borders, that had the colors not as a primary, but as highlights, the pink had beautiful large magnolia blossoms with dk green trim, the turquoise was more tropical. I know you can't get those anymore, so find some other unifying but very simple tile. Finally, and no one has tried this yet, but it is true. Use behr cottage white. It is a creamy white that every color look better somehow. the square won't do much good, just get a sample can along with your tile border or your mural, another great way to go. It is magic, pure magic. Remember, let us see.

oh yeah whatever you do never paint the sink it does not work long term. our tub lasted 2-3 years.

Love the burgundy sink, tile cap, ceramic built-ins. To soften the pink, would a light gray toilet color make sense, lighter gray walls, black trim? Then again , I may be nuts. Beautiful original floor!

I have pink tiles. My solution was a little bohemian. Add more color. But I also had some white.

I love the pictures miacomelady posted, black would be beautiful or even grey, silver is also a nice compliment but the black makes a real statement, would be beautiful.
