My favorite tools

Kobalt short-handle D-Grip shovel. It's a nice length for the shortness of me, it is extremely sturdy, it has turn-downs (that don't bend when you step on them) so it drives easily, and it takes and holds an edge so I can actually have it sharpened. A lot of shovels are just too soft to get a good edge on. The only bad thing is that if anything ever happens to the handle, it's a toss-out. Unless you can make your own handle for it - its thicker than "normal" so you can't just buy a blank for it. Remember when the common thing was to replace the handle rather than throw out the tool? *sigh*

Then I have a pair of ratcheting long-handle pruners I got last year at Home Despot that I bet they don't even carry any more (they've dropped sooo much of their better quality stuff this year). Can't remember who made them, I'll try to check in a bit.

Orbit or Rainbird drip irrigation stuff. I've used both, both worked excellently well for me. Drip irrigation is da bomb!

Felco pruners. ANY Felco pruners. They're all mah-velous.

When I had a BEEEEG garden, I had one of those drop seeders. Actually I had two of them connected so I could plant 2 rows at once. I loved that thing.

I had a hoe once that was made out of a sharpened disc blade off a tractor. It was hand made. I loved that thing, too, back when I had a BEEEEG garden.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something. What are your favorite tools?
