Can the posts/newels be purchased?

Yes these newel posts can be purchased. The newel post pictured is our 6" Box Newels that we make. We also offer them in 4.5" and 7.5". The newel post are hollow in the middle to ad in installation and save on weight. They are assembled with locking miters in the corners so no edge grain is visible and separation of the corners will never happen. We make them in several species with Red Oak and Ambrosia Maple being the most common with a starting price of $159ea. The newels in this picture also have our Iron Tops on them as well.
