Leaking roots

I pulled a cucumber Friday. Yesterday I noticed a wet spot in the ground. Next day, bigger. I better dig and see. I chased it a while and then I noticed a root was leaking water out the end. It had to be a lot of water for the roots to saturate the whole ground. They are from the cuke I pulled on Friday.
