Will Creeping Jenny strangle lavender?

Hello. I have a row of lavender (trying to grow into a low hedge) at the top of a retaining wall. I think it would be pretty to have Creeping Jenny hanging over the edge of the wall but first I wanted to make sure it wouldn't hurt my lavender. Is Creeping Jenny too aggressive to plant around other plants? I've never grown it.

It won't strangle the lavender but one or the other will not be happy. Lavender likes lean soil, full sun and not much water and creeping Jenny likes a moist, rich soil and will scorch in full sun.

Oh, wow. Thanks for responding. My neighbor told me that Creeping Jenny will grow just about anywhere, so that's why I was thinking about it. I guess it's time to look for another option!

Try the low creeping sedums commonly called stonecrops :-) They will be happy in the same sort of conditions the lavender will and come in a wide range of foliage colors. If you like the yellow of creeping Jenny, consider Sedum 'Angelina'
