I'm am remodeling a kitchen and opening it to a nook and family room area which will combine to become the new and only dining space. The hinged door will become a window; the family room a dining area with an L shaped banquette seating along the north and west wall. The nook will get a slider where the window is and a buffet will be there on the west wall. The u shaped area of the kitchen will have only lower cabinets so the entire area is open to view. I must use energy efficient lighting in the kitchen; semi-flush fixtures and a couple of cans.

The fixture I have chosen for the kitchen is brushed pewter, but I want something less casual for the dining area, so am thinking about the oil rubbed bronze pendant below for over the banquette and a ceiling mount in the nook also in ORB. Since these will be 15-20 feet across the room do you think these can work together in the overall space?
