Freezing corn if you have the space

Best ever way is this: Try to freeze the corn the day it was picked. Just soak it (hull and all) in water for a couple of hours. Put in zip-lock freezer bags just as they are. The hull protects the corn and it will taste as fresh 6 mos. from now as today. I put them four to a bag --- usually trim off the stem end so they fit. No blanching - no fuss. Hard to believe, I know but just try it. I've been doing it this way for years.

When ready to eat, I thaw them in water for an hour or two and put on the grill. When you husk them, the corn silk comes right off with the husk. yum.
