Benjamin Moore -oil paint

Several options for honey oak.

1. Gel stain,
2. Annie sloan chalk paint with wax topper.
3. Paint, ideally oil like BM Advance. However oil takes 30days to fully set and cure rock hard. So no topcoat img until then due to potential off trapping off gassing etc. and no scrubbing till then.

Except for Anne sloan chalk, the most important aspect is prep, prime and top coat application and how careful each is done. You can't skimp on really good cleaning and light sanding and cleaning again and a really good high adhesion primer, light sand and then sprayed paint coat, ideally with a flow control agent to allow the paint sufficient time to self level before drying to avoid brush strokes etc. Then a couple coats of top coat, lightly wet sanded between coats.
