Too Many Fruits White Sapote

My white sapote tree is holding a lot of fruit bunches. I will just keep 2 or 3 fruit per bunch and remove the others, to reduce the mass load. Is there any risk of uprooting caused by the combined effect of excess fruit load and wind gusts? This tree grows on sandy soil.

It will shed any excess..no need to thin out. You would only be removing what might have been the best. IF you see its a real burden on the tree...then I guess thin. Otherwise,just wait and see.

I have 'Subelle'. The one you have sure looks different Jalilu. That clustering and the extra long petioles on the leafs are not what I get.

Thanks Stan. They just stay small, not bigger than a small apricot if I don't thin out. I wonder which variety it could be....
