have you drawn up the plan ? It would be very helpful to see a sketch of what you are talking about.

The current allocated space is 6'9", but we subracted 4" for each knee walls. Hope this helps visualizing it!

I am still confused. You say that you have a 48" long vanity, but your drawing shows a vanity that is over 6 feet long ? Are you saying that you will have a 48" long vanity with open space on either side ?

If this is what you are asking, then my answer is that you will wish you had the extra counter space. If you want a floating look, you might have a vanity that ends 6" away from either side. You will get a floating look but still have usable counter space of about 5 feet....

You may have to have a custom floating counter made....

That's correct; the original drawing was showing a large vanity (over 6'), and we haven't modified it as we just found the 48" vanity. We could indeed get a bigger version of the vanity (60'), but since the price different was significant, we wanted to explore the possibility of having a smaller vanity. I appreciate your feedback.
