I asked this original post question. I have a very large kitchen the island bottom is dark navy the top barely fit the jumbo slab ( no waste) over 80 cabinets all painted Chalk White by Benjamin Moore ( cool white) so after two trips to the Pental warehouse location in Van Nuys Ca ( I live over an hour and a half away) I settled on Pental Lattice. It is amazing ALL the other colors of Pental looked too grey( dirty) next to the cabinets. Also went to Ceaserstone warehouse in Sun Valley Ca and the Pental was same quality lower cost and brighter not a grey cast. Pental was great they let me pick out the slabs I wanted and then the fabricators took them. Hope this helps!

Thanks for piping in!! i am comparing these also.. I do think i like the Lattice, have not seen a slab.. sounds like i should check these out as I have found a place that will allow this.. I think the Onixaa you originally liked is gorgeous but as you say, maybe too dirty... but worried the Staturario has too many lines?? How does the Lattice compare? Could you send a photo of your island. ? love to see. it in-what backslash did you pick!? Ive seen some cool irridesents with navy undertones.

Here are some photos of my new kitchen- Pental Quartz - Statuario (polished) with Daltile Arctic White (#0190) subway tile and White 'Shaker' cabinets. The photos do not show the gray/taupe grain in the pental quartz very well, but it looks good. I could not find a colored subway tile that I liked, so I defaulted to "white".

LOVE the Mysterio on my island!! I spent months looking (granite and quartz-- wanted the marble look without getting marble) I am so happy how it turned out!!

Thanks!! The cabinets are a bright white. I just went with the cabinet company's white instead of having the company paint them a custom color.

the backsplash is basic subway tiles with white grout.

For those of you who installed Pental Quartz Misterio in the LA area, what fabricator did you use? How much were the slabs and how much installation cost, if you don't mind sharing? I just went to a stone yard in Van Nuys and she quoted me ~2k for a slab.

num1yanks, I live in the LA area and I am looking to have Pental Misterio installed too. I was quoted $1000 a slab (for the 45 square ft slab, they have 2 sizes). I have gotten 2 quotes from fabricators...one $2500 to demo/install 75 sq ft worth of Pental, the other $4000 (exclusive of the cost of the slabs). If you have found any helpful prices/fabricators please share!

• Here are photos of our recently remodeled kitchen with the Pental Quartz Misterio installed in Fairfield County, CT. Another name for this quartz manufacturer is Vicostone. We really like these bright white counters with light grey veins and they clean up very easily. Red wine, cherry juice, etc. all wiped clean with minimal effort. @Ralph, would you say the Misterio has any depth. I know the quartzes are getting better and better.

I would say it does although the Misterio has a very light grey vein, The vein pattern is embedded in the slab so the edges and top look really nice. You can see it in the earlier photos above. I would check out the slab at a local shop.

Tara, my kitchen required two slabs and most contractors didn't break up the costs so it's hard to say how much they were charging me just for the slabs. The fabricator I ended up going with charged ~$800 per slab for the standard size (119" x 55"). I requested quotes from at least five fabricators and the totals ranged between ~$6000 - $7000 to demo, fabricate, and install about 55 sq ft worth of Pentalquartz Misterio. If you found a fabricator to do 75 sq. ft. at $2,500 for everything, that's definitely a steal! I haven't gotten my counters installed yet (they are currently being fabricated) but once I do, I'll post pictures and let you know if I recommend them.

Ralph, love the misterio countertop. I noticed that your edging is the slab depth rather than a 1 1/2" beveled edge. My fabricator says I should do the 1 1/2" but I'm liking your look. Any helpful comments?

We love the smooth soft edge on the counters and how the veins wrap around the edges. The larger bevel was simply too formal for our space. Ask for a sample in whatever material they have and place it on your counter. I also assume cuts and nicks will show up more on a hard beveled edge. So far these counters are awesome. No staining at all and very durable.

@callmarj I love the kitchen. We too are leaning towards the same countertops. We have white subway tile with a grayish grout. I need to bring the sample countertop to our house because our kitchen cabinets are white cloud by Benjamin's moore

Hey fellow Pental Misterio fans!

I kno I'm chiming in late, but I too am in major love with misterio, and am looking at it for our kitchen counters. I got a bid from a local/reputable place for $6400 (they sell the slabs, do fabrication,and installation). We have approximately 50sf of counter space. There's no brake out - no labor costs, no installation cost - only a materials cost ($2909). I'm in the SF Bay Area.

I'm putting a call in to the store in the morning to see if I can get more info, but til then I am wondering if anyone has any insight as to why they could be so much? We're doing all the demo and disposal ourselves; it's a new kitchen so it'll be a clean slate.

Again, any insight would be super appreciated, because I'm so in love with pental misterio, but at this price the counters are more than our (more expensive IKEA) cabinets AND high end sink/faucet and drawer pulls. Thanks!!

Sarah - I just found this thread because I'm also considering Onixaa. I had Pental Quartz Lattice installed in our old apartment and lived with it for a few years before we sold the place. The quartz held up beautifully! We never had any issues with staining or pitting, and the Lattice is one of the "whitest" colors they have. I have no qualms about buying Pental Quartz again. I was surprised this time around that some of the Caesarstones I looked at were more expensive than Pental and much more "pixelated" looking. Last time, the Pental was the cutting edge of quartz technology and the closest thing to marble on the market (and the priciest of the the brands).

Has anyone used the mistero with white dove cabinets? Does it make the cabinets look “yellow”?
