need help with my kitchen countertop

I am redoing my kitchen and will do the kitchen area counter top with a white carrara quartz, all the lower cabinets will be in teak wood and one wall will be a high gloss white pantry, I would like to do the sitting area countertop in back quartz but my family wants to keep it white carrara , What is your opinion, btw, all the floors are white marble

Hi Sandra,

I say stick to your idea, the design posted is lovely and black is a very nice colour especially if you use a different material for a different texture like concrete, slate or glass. In your case I would not use white all over, the floors are white the walls are white if the counter top was also all white it would blend in too much.

Black is a colour that a lot of people shy away from, as I used to but I am now a convert after I used black wallpaper on a feature wall.

I think the black counter top is too extreme. How about a lighter brown quartz or butcher block top to contrast the lower counter cabinets? Would look nice. Some ideas below.
