We had a bunch of unseemly bushes in our front yard when we purchased the house, we got rid of those and now it looks like this (added 4 dwarf alberta spruces). We got 1-2 bushes less than we should have and I think we need to fill in the spaces in between. Neither of us like to spend much time doing yard work and we are not good at it. Suggestions for a low-maintenance idea appreciated - other small bushes or flower beds in between?

We have a house warming party coming up next week and we were hoping to get this done by then.
