I don't have any specific plans, so I'll probably be sewing! I would like to finish the Hunter's Star blocks. Some are kind of lumpy in the middle so I may unstitch them to see if I can flatten them out.

I started quilting a charity quilt last night and hope to get more done on it this weekend. We have our "granddog" for two more weeks and she makes it hard to get much done!

I have been hand-piecing Granny Square Quilt blocks this week and hope to work on more this weekend. Got some renovations done in the house this week. Hope to hang some art work and family photos this weekend. Feeling blessed. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

I just got my first college dorm quilt off to the longarmer and now will start designing the second one. I have to do some graphing to get the sizes down before I start cutting. Strange to make a lovely blue/green traditional block for the boy, and now designing a woodsy, camo color, deer hunting themed thing for the girl. Go figure.

Anyway, that will be on my mind all weekend as I also gather projects and supplies for a retreat the 23rd.

I sent my nephew's quilt off to the longarmer this morning.

Yesterday I started work on a wallhanging by Virginia Walton that was featured in the March/April 2007 issue of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting magazine. My generous neighbor had given me the whole kit she had purchased for the Spring Flowers wallhanging. Her only request, after giving me about $800 worth of fabric, was that, if I made this piece, could we share it. I've decided to make it and give it to her for her new house in Phoenix. The Creative Curves Ellipse Ruler is used for this project. I'm having fun with it so far.

Tomorrow I'm taking Scrappy Mountain Majesties to its new home with my friend Jean. I think she will be thrilled.

Going to start cutting blocks for the yet un named quilt coverlet for my friend. My sister came yesterday armed with a nice 6" acrylic cutting square for me to use - it will help tremendously. All fabrics are washed and ready to cut. It's been too long since I've been sewing...need the therapy.

I've just started a quilt for this year's breast cancer fundraiser. Decided to get an early start this year, to avoid the last minute rush.

I'm tied up with a Girl Scout activity w/DD7 today, but brought along 1 hand-piecing project and 1 English paper piecing project. We will see how long my fingers hold out. Funny though, listening to the group's leader is like listening to Beverly!!

Well, I didn't do much sewing at all. :( I'm frustrated with the Hunter's Star, so I thought I'd cut up some scraps. I got bored with that after about 10 minutes...it feels kind of pointless if I don't have a project in mind. So then I spent time looking at quilts to pick a scrap project (like I need another project).

Maybe next weekend I can finish the HS blocks and see if I can fix the ones that aren't flat.
