Can you identitfy this infection?

I believe that my small indoor garden is being attacked by a type of fungal infection since I repotted them with new soil I purchased. I say this because all of this started happening after I put some foam plant food into my peppers (very top) and strawberries, which aren't photographed because soon after applying plant food both of my strawberries disintegrated and died. I applied the plant food as directed but my peppers are now suffering and I'm thinking that the plant food excited whatever virus or fungus was in the soil because everything seems to be getting sick like mad. Another thing is that the gloves and soil scooper I purchased was also used in my indoor compost, which is shrouded in fungus as everything decays, leading me to believe that the nasties taking out the living material in my compost hitched a ride and is now doing the same thing to my living plants.

What are your opinions on the matter? Do you believe I'm wrong or recognize this type of infection?
