Got this book case for $15. I thought it had an interesting shape for my front entry and is solid but maybe a veneer. Its actually a hutch I am pretty sure. I want to put a slab of MDF on the bottom and attach plate casters to that. Big ones. Thoughts about attaching the casters to the mdf?

How should I paint it? Would spray primer work and then use a roller and brush to paint? If I spray paint, i will have to wait until spring because its winter here and the temps are not real conducive to spray painting outside. But it is so much easier! I want to paint it white and then a color inside and am thinking Tiffany to peacock blue and maybe avocado green.

It has grooves for sliding doors. I am thinking about using a frosted plexiglass and closing off the smaller boxes only. I will cut a cord hole for the back to run device chargers and the door would be nice maybe to hide some of that when needed. Any thoughts about that?

Some cool lighting that does not cost an arm and a leg would be the topper! Any recommendations?

My $15 bookcase will end up well over $150 after casters, plexi, paint and lights lol. But it will be super cool and I will know I did it!
