Wait for the color. Def not sungold. And probably not juliet either. Juliets are slim and not as fat.
But On the positive note, it might turn out something better than Sun Gold.

Those are beautiful tomatoes that remind me somewhat of Riesentraube without the nipples on the bottom (blossom) end, which I don't really see in the pic. Definitely not Juliet which I'm growing right now, as mentioned, Juliets are much more elongated. Could you be kind to say if these were sold to you as Sungold F1 hybrids? Or were they sold as an open pollinated version. I would appreciate if you could tell us that! Thanks!!!

Hi there thanks for your comments, i have checked my order and they were sold to me as sungold f1. With helpfull growing info on the packet.... which there was none of and also a gift of some saflower seeds haha amazon maybe not the greatest place to get seeds. Also says online "only supplied direct by just seed uk" But had a singapore sticker on tje packet haha

Hi, wish we could figure out more about them. The thing about Sungold F1 is that it's the only tomato I'd be really (really!) be bummed out about if it didn't grow true, because it is pretty unique. The UK? Could it be like Thompson & Morgan packets of Sungold F1 for which you got a knock-off?

I just looked at my pack of Sungold F1's bought for Spring 2015 in the USA, 10 seeds marketed by "Botanical Interests" brand, for $3.49, which I picked up in the local nursery seed rack. It doesn't say where the seeds were produced, so I almost believe it was the USA, but who knows. The good thing about the Botanical Interests was they give you them in a paper packet and inside that is a sealed metal wrapper inner packet you open when you are ready....

Sungold seeds run a little under $0.10 each in larger quantities and around $0.25 $0.40 per seed in smaller packs, and it would be unlikely you'd do better for good quality seed. I think it would be hard to get a different price because there is only one company that makes all authentic Sungold F1. The Tokita Seed company produces their Sungold F1 hybrids in proprietary grow-outs and supplies everyone in the world with them that has the authentic seed, so the seed really needs to be traceable to them. If the seed is from Singapore, it could be possible Tokita is producing them there, but the whole thing sounds more likely to be a bait and switch on Amazon.

Similar to what Sey said, I hope you get the sweet tangerine color. Crosses of Sungold are always really interesting if you have room for them. Never know what could come out of one. But that doesn't excuse the seller from being a basically a knock-off scam! I couldn't find "Just Seed" to read any reviews, but Amazon like you said is not the best source for seeds. I saw a variety on Amazon I wanted, but in the end dinged it due to lake of confidence in a seller (Dave's Seeds or something ... the offer price for the a hybrid variety was well below market price which I was tempted to go for but after I thought about it, LOL, no way). Nothing personal to the seller, but I'd need an explanation how they got the seed at reduced rate. Are they selling it hot from the back of a truck in a parking lot? Outdated seeds they repack? F2, Fn, or OP versions whether stabilized of not? To much to go wrong. If you want serious seed, got to stick with reputable suppliers :-)

You now have a big surprise to look forward to, but no Sungold :-(
