I don't see it much ,but if you decide to use it to save cost ,lay it on the diagonal for an updated look

I don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but granite tile, is long past gone as far as being in style. Also, so it 4 x 4 size tile. That size screams old and needing updating. We are building a new house and have a designer helping us, so this is where most of my information is coming from. I don't know what's on your floor now, but I would consider a nice ceramic tile of different sizes in a neutral color. Very current looking and will allow for any kind of decor.

do you still like it? Trends come and go but granite is classic. if it is very slick finished I might worry about slipping on a hard surface. It will be more durable than ceramic and your photo likes like it can go with trendy cool grays or beige tones so it looks like a good choice.

The tiles are 12 x 12. i do still like it but i am worried that it is not in style any longer. Where it is installed now is in the family room where the door to the attached garage is. it was put down so it would be easier to clean up from dirty feet coming in and out of the garage. Sort of a landing. we also have some placed in front of the fireplace to avoid carpet burns. i guess it would be better to use it and save money. Thanks for the comments

If you like the tile (personally, I like it a lot more than most ceramic tiles), You should use it. Chasing trends or what is in style seems so tiring to me. I would rather be surrounded by things that I genuinely like.
