Fermented budock root

Do I need to be cautious eating my lacto-fermented* burdock root as a snack, or lightly cooked in stir fry? If it is medicinal, can I expect that it acts the same or different as simply raw or dried root? I've been eating around 3-10 grams at a time, but not every day.

*( I have a lot of burdock growing around one garden, and thought I might harvest it as a vegetable, especially as I'd read it was really good fermented. I had never even tasted it before, so I first bought some at the grocery store to find out whether I even like it, before going to the trouble of digging any. I was surprised how sweet and tender it is! It fermented very quickly, making a nice sour pickle, but feels in the mouth more fibrous now than before fermented. Still pleasantly edible though.)
