To Paint Ceiling white OR not to ... That is the Question

Scenario: We are in the middle of a house repaint : decision was made to "wake-up" the 70s wooden look of this "Deck House" with a painted white ceiling. Partially through the paint job one half of the couple thinks it's hideous and painting should stop! The other half, thinks it's beautiful and airy and work should proceed without haste!
What say you?
Option: 1 (keep going nice work)
Option: 2 (cease and desist!) reverse if possible!
Please vote otherwise there will be a lot of slow singing and flower bringing!
It's Nuclear and only the top vote from the two choices come Monday gets to prevail!

I think white is the better option of the two, but I see what Darzy is saying. A warm white would be better than bright white.

Stop painting and re-group. The white doesn't work for me but neither does the current color scheme. Sorry...

The House body will be repainted - but for now the question is if the Ceiling Color works or doesn't - ignore the house body for now

Oh okay! I like the brighter look but could be a bit too bright. A toned down white? I'd rethink the color scheme.

Thanks once again Darzy, The red trim on the house will be repainted a soft Tan Beige kinda color - Benjamin Moore Barely Beige 1066 or OC-92 and the beams stained dark - the Body will be a greyish-dark blue color - we haven't yet settled on what swatch, but I see you point of mellowing out the white ceiling.
