What structural modifications were made to accommodate the boulders?

Did you have to add extra steel beneath them to offset the added weight (so the decking doesn't crack / boulders don't sink)? Love the look of the boulders incorporated along the pool edge as well as in the decking. Would love more details as we are currently planning / building a pool.
