Help! Lavender plant wilting

Yesterday I repotted my (indoor) Lavandula pedunculata plant as I noticed it was wilting terribly, so I checked and found that it was completely root bound!

I soaked it for several minutes before slicing into the root ball with a knife and tearing off the bottom of it, which had completely taken on the shape of the pot. I know I should have been gentler, but it was so bad that I panicked and tore loads of the roots as I was trying to loosen it and pull it apart more! I repotted it in a large pot with multipurpose potting soil and then watered it with a little more liquid fertiliser than usual and presto! In a couple of hours it perked right up, and this morning looked better than ever.

However, now its wilting again and is as bad, if not worse than before. It has enough water because the soil is still damp from yesterday, so I don't know what else to do, please help!
