Thank you for your inquiry. It does not screw on to your existing metal frame so your frame would move freely. There are 2 pcs of metal
attached to the headboard and another 2 pcs that come loose with the headboard. The loose parts act as hooks when they are drilled
to a wall; The parts already attached to the
headboard will need to be hooked onto those parts drilled on the wall.
