Last one, for real!

Blueberry Hill!!!, probably. The scent
is very pleasant, elegant, like an actual bottled perfume. I've seen it do
clusters of 7. Entirely and absolutely, truly thornless (so far). It seems a
bit "lazy", in comparison with it's peers. The plant likes the sun but the blooms don't stand a chance there, ironically.

A russet! In the pictures the number 1
touches, you can see how the peduncle tends to be of a wine color. The effect
is very pretty!. I've seen it do clusters of 3. No scent whatsoever, sadly. And
as you can see, very prickly, on the undersides of leaves as well. My
guess is Iris Webb, though to this point it doesn't seem much like a floribunda. Could also be Laura Bush, or Edith Holden, OR maybe it isn't classed as a russet at all and I should be looking at oranges instead...

I think this is Midnight blue! I'm 90%
sure. It is almost completely thornless. The scent is very pleasant, spicy and
fresh, like a herb. The blooms don't last much and it sometimes does clusters
of 2-4. The alien bloom in the pic opened inside, contrary to the other two,
which means it needs sunlight to make the eggplant coloring.

Thanks for your time and help :) !

I'm curious as to where you found these roses? Are they ones you've purchased that are not marked? Or have you rooted cuttings? It would be nice to have some background on where and how you got them. And I'd like to see some other pics of the lavender one. Maybe before it blows open. It's not BLUEBERRY HILL tho. And I would say the russet one is most likely the Meilland florist rose ESTELLE.

The violet one could be Midnight Blue.

Beth, yes this were purchased non-marked. Besides not being labeled, there's no warranty of them being virus free, but it's pretty much the only way to purchase roses here in Mexico.

My guess is that they send here the plants that do not make the cut in the grade scale in the US. They're very cheap too, which furthers my suspicions of this.

Very rarely do I come across tagged varieties, even in american big box or home improvement stores. The only one I've had the chance to buy this way was my beloved Charles de Gaulle (I've had it for less than six months and I can already call it beloved).

As for the lavender, what made you know it was not Blueberry Hill?

I will post more pics of it in a day or two, since it currently has only buds that should open by then. There's not much of a transition there, though. I think they blow out the same day they start opening. It's just not a very full flower.

And Estelle looks like a dead ringer!!! and they do call it a russet in hmf, hey! Do you own this rose? I had not heard it mentioned until now.

Thank you lots! :)

About the first picture, the color and leaf foliage looks very similar to my Sweetness rose. It may not be the exact same variety, but I bet the lineage is similar.

You claim these roses were being sold non-marked. That seems unusual to me, as the roses shown in your pictures are very distinct "high end" varieties, not the typical generic stuff you find. You may be right, I suspect they were sold off in a large lot as surplus. Another possibility, they could have even been salvaged without permission from a large rose growing nursery by one of the workers. Some of these nurseries decide to dump less popular varieties when they are not selling.

BLUEBERRY HILL has fewer petals and is more ruffly. It usually has a very pale lavender color with a slightly darker reverse.

I really wish I could show you a better pic, maybe at a further stage, but the heat is unbearable right now, and destroying all of my blooms. You can see it has some ruffles, the undersides are the same color, however.

Oh, and I had the chance to smell clove recently, which confirmed the dark purple one is in fact, Midnight Blue! (now I know I can just go buy some when it is not in bloom, such a delightful scent!).

Around Los Angeles, when the heat hit, Blueberry Hill totally shut down and quit flowering. One of several reasons I avoided it.

Oh wait.. do I see a little white streak on one of the petals? Maybe it is BH. Some of the blooms tend to get a white streak on one of the petals. So maybe you are right about that one.

Beth, yes, sometimes it has white streaks. I don't know what else it could be. There's Lilac Charm, but it sounds unlikely.
