Quenepa or Spanish Lime. Not a citrus but kinda tastes like one. The ones you have are old or have been stressed by shipping. In Latin America you can buy them on the street in large clusters and spend the rest of the day spitting out the large seeds. I used to love them while sitting in an un-airconditioned public bus in the heat of Puerto Rico (you could buy them through the window at any traffic light). I think they are related to China Berry.

John, When we travel in India on a bus; wherever it stops, the street food vendors rush over and you buy what appeals to you.. Hehe did they taste sweet or sour? this one smells sourish... Thanks!! again.
