I, too, think the mirror is too small, should have mentioned it in earlier post. I am curious about the shades I thought were good fit for style of cabinet. But I might get shades in black.

I'd think about bringing in some more color - perhaps some decorative items on the sideboard including colorful vintage ceramics. I'd also look at a larger piece on the wall - a bigger mirror, or an art piece, or even a wall hanging or tapestry.

I'm thinking a rectangular mirror would look better. How wide is the console?

I think a candle arrangement would look lovely on that piece, maybe even add an antique looking book or two?

Is it in a good spot to be set up as a bar area?
