Thanks for your suggestions. The cabinets are not purchased yet, so that will be changing.
The beadboard is white because I couldn't stand the oak color any longer.
Walls painted first because it's easier for DIY'ers when there's nothing in the room.
Floor is what it is.

I don't have a problem with choosing the paint color first, if everything else you plan on doing in space is neutral, and especially if you are in love with a certain color. However, I do agree that since there are a myriad of paint colors available, it's best to choose the other materials first. I like blue, but the color you chose is very intense. Go with a softer 'tint" of that blue. If you really prefer wood cabinets, which do add warmth to a space, use a stain that is not such a contrast to the white, and is on the opposite side of the color wheel to blue. What you have is more red. Go with a more lighter natural cherry maybe. Or better yet, do a grey stain, lighter than your floor.

Any grey granite.

I do adore my blue walls, first time I had color other than white in 17 years in my home.

The cabinets will go on the far opposite wall from the headboard.

I'm glad you're rethinking the cabinet color. I think the first choice is too red also.

well, this is an opinionated site, but I didn't think anything here was out of line. she asked for advice because she didn't know what to do -- surely "what makes me happiest" is everybody's goal! hang in there, JudyG!

Doesn't look like she deleted her account yet. Public forums can be brutal when asking strangers for their opinions. Some people just want validation of their choices. Hang in there JudyG, you give great advice at a great price;)

Please don't stop offering your expertise to those of us who really need a professional to look over our "happys". I can love a lot of things, but it takes a pro to put them together into a house that looks right.

Indicating support of my suggestions by "thanking and following me", publicly, but then doing just the opposite privately...I was upset how that was done...just a surprise! Just want to say I agree with Judy's counter top advice, not necessarily the whole post. Should have read through before hitting like.

I think those of us from New England sometimes have a direct speaking style that can come across as a bit harsh- the OP really shouldn't take offense to that or be dissuaded from her choices.
