Peaches are ripe!

My peaches are ripe already! This is about a month earlier than usual. I don't have a lot of them, there was very little bee activity when the tree was flowering, but the few we have are delicious!

I have a dwarf Red Haven. It gets curly leaf and flowers early so if the bees aren't active, there's not a lot of fertilized flowers. The peaches aren't huge but the stones are small so there is a lot of delicious fruit in each one. The juice drips of my chin.

I passed a roadside stand today that was selling local orchard peaches--this is well west of the mountains.

Peaches have been grown commercially in western Oregon for some time, it is hotter in the western Oregon valleys than it is up here and in coastal BC.

You can beat leaf curl without spraying by having a roof over the tree at budding out time.
