Succulents like wider shallower pots so they can spread and multiply..they like sandy soil ...and instead of mulch on top the soil...some pea gravel with a few stones..makes them happier..if they get tall they usually fall over and root again where they fall..I love to put several types in the same pot ...if you want almost any part can be broken off and stuck in the soil to start up again as a new plant

I just had to do this. Its scarey but had to be done. Hopeful it will re-root

keep the dirt below the bottom of the plant, a 1/2 inch below the top of the pot, not touching the plant.

they don't need big pots, they don't have much for roots, and don't need much water.
